DiscoVer LifE

Life isn’t about the money in your pocket, the dirt under your nails, the roof over your head, the shoes on your feet, the color of your skin, or about the shirt on your back. It’s about facing your fears, conquering the unexpected, and fighting for what you want and deserve! It’s about taking risks, discovering new friends, embracing the silly times, and the challenging times. It’s about being yourself, not someone fake that people want you to be. It’s about showing everyone the real you, and letting your true colors shine. It’s about finding love not just with your spouse but within yourself. Life is like a fast, emotional, bumpy, unpredictable, broken spin board. Will the arrow land on, “Happily Ever After,” or “Single parent with fourteen hour shifts an McDonald’s to support a poverty struck family?” Life can be tough, we all know that. At times it makes you want to sing and dance. At other times it makes you want to abandon all hope and give up, but what you learn from the rough, cruel times is utterly spectacular. They teach you to just keep going, and to just never give up. Even through the painful deaths, the sorrowful natural disasters, the unstoppable, tear-splitting memories, the weepy heartbreaks, even the unfortunate disabilities and injuries. Through this and that, we all keep going. We try to bury our past and leave it behind us, fearing what someone might dig up. If you just stick it out, it’ll be worth it. Life will always get better. The sun will always shine. No matter what you think. A gloomy, miserable day will come, and when you aren’t expecting it, the sun will shine and life as you know it will brighten up before your eyes. Life is an adventure. Don’t be the ones pried to the side of the Jeep praying and pleading for the tour guide to clap their hands and open the doors. Be the ones who outlook and outhing the rest, who run into the opposite direction, not on accident, not because you were told to, but simply on purpose. You never know what lies in that direction. Find the strength in yourself to go find out. You never know what’ll happen next, so take advantage of every shinning smiling minute you have and go discover what life “is,” truly about.
